Watson is a Pitjantjatjara/Antikirinja woman from the Coffin Hill Region of South Australia. She speaks about her early childhood with her parents and about Daisy Bates who would look after the children while their parents were out hunting. Watson was placed in the United Aborigines' Mission Home in Ooldea at around the age of 8, and later was transferred to the dormitories. She describes school life and the living conditions in the dormitories. After her marriage at the age of 18, she and her husband were sent to Gerard in the Riverland to help clear land for the new mission. They later moved to Yalata and then Indulkana where she was elected to the Community Council. Watson also founded the Women's Council, of which she was Chairperson for about 6 years, and organised a fence around the women's site at Uluru.
