Folklore recording. Rhonda Young talks about her childhood memories; her family background; her schooling; working in retail for Paddy Palin, his background, the bushwalking industry; meeting her future husband Nick Young and their marriage (1966); running a 'Sportsgirl' Boutique; birth of their children; her embroidery and learning skills with fabrics; house moves in Sydney, to Glebe and Drummoyne: the move to Kuranda (1976); helping to organise a fund raising for 'Ash Wednesday' bushfire victims (1982); how the Amphitheatre was established, community involvement; a community development programme; National Folk Festival; being involved in local professional theatre, she lists members and performances; costume designing; she refers back to her theatre involvement in Sydney; her development in theatre at the Amphitheatre, plays and actors; her involvement with the local Aboriginal, Tjapukai Dance Theatre (1997), problems with costuming for the women, solving the problem; her designs; making belts; her work in relation to Indigenous crafts; the changes in Kuranda; her children, their development and careers; how they built their original house and their present house in the rain forest.
