John H Morris, born 1926, Latrobe Hospital, Tas. Morris speaks about his medical training and his employment in 1953 as a relief doctor on Flinders Island, Tas. He was later involved with the interdenominational Church and Life Movement, and one of their programs was to bring Aboriginal children from Cape Barren and Flinders Islands to Launceston for schooling. He outlines how the program operated until it was taken over by the Education Department in 1967.
