Stories handwritten by M. Kasner Moss for his daughter, nicknamed Chorkles, and featuring her and others in the household as protagonists: 1. 'Chorkle's book of rhymes', 12 leaves with colour sketches. 2. 'The story of Chorkles and the wicked rhinoceros', 6 leaves, with colour sketches. 3. 'The story of Chorkles and the wicked rhinoceros and Rita and some pussycats and bees and Aunt Gwenny and a beetle', 4 leaves. 4. 'The story of Chorkles and the fairy that ate the golden shoe', 9 leaves.

Matthew Kasner Moss graduated MBChB from the University of Melbourne in 1902. He was a doctor in Echuca at least during the period 1911-14. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 1920, and later was Honorary Anaesthetist at Perth Hospital. In 1937 he was President of the Section of Anaesthetics of the Australasian Medical Congress. Moss died in Perth 28 June 1945.
