Cobbity. The Anglican Church of St. Pauls was built in 1840. The Heber Chapel built by Rev. Thomas Hassel & dedicated in 1828 stands on the extreme right of the picture. The first Baptism took place on April 1st 1827. From this centre, Rev. Hassell, who was gazetted Chaplain of the districts south of Liverpool, including Goulburn Plains, Bong Bong & Inverary itinerated & built many churchs setting each in a seperate parish.
