Photographs taken in July-August 1973 during celebrations at Uluru marking the centenary since William Christie Gosse, Deputy Surveyor General of South Australia, climbed Uluru in central Australia and named it after the then Premier of the State, Sir Henry Ayers. The collection includes landscape images, including aerial views, close-up photographs of the rock's surface, and portraits of visitors and revellers at the Uluru centenary celebrations.
