This collection of photographs documents the Yalinji community at Wujal Wujal, located about 30 kilometres north of Cape Tribulation and 60 kilometres south of Cooktown, in northern Queensland. The community is small with an estimated population of 326 people, 309 of whom identify themselves as Indigenous (at the 2006 census). The community at Wujal Wujal is thought to have existed on the site for thousands of years and is set around highly sacred waterfalls.--information from reference sources.
