- Summary:
-
The Government has carried out a review of Queensland's public protection legislation in the context of the community's sustained and valid concerns about high risk sexual and violent offenders. The Review was wide-ranging and encompassed all legislation and associated arrangements providing for community protection against high risk sexual and violent offenders. The Review Report makes 22 recommendations for reform, which together provide the framework for a new public protection model for Queensland.
