Marilyn Rowe discusses her career as a dancer. She talks about joining the Australian Ballet School and her transition to the Australian Ballet, her partners in particular Kelvin Coe and John Meeehan, and her teachers including Dame Margaret Scott, Leon Kellaway and Betty Pounder. She speaks about Peggy van Praagh as artistic director of the company and reflects on some of the company's repertoire. Works she speaks in particular about include Gemini and The Merry Widow. Rowe goes on to talk about Anne Woolliams as artistic director and also about her own time as ballet director prior to the appointment of Maina Gielgud. She speaks at length throughout the interview of her position as director of the Australian Ballet School and gives her aspirations for the future of the school.
