Biography/History

Huelin was born in 1908 in Jersey, Channel Islands. He arrived in Australia as a young man with utopian visions of this society only to run almost straight into the Depression. He carried his swag for several years, meeting on the track the sort of men who later formed the backbone of the Sixth Division, A.I.F. He lived in Melbourne and finally in Bendigo.
