Lewis, looking at newspaper cuttings, 'The Melbourne Hawklet'(?); his father; how Famechon is a great featherweight; 'The Hamilton Spectator'; his teacher who went to England; first time Matcham got married; Jack Johnson and how Jack sparred with Vic Kernie at the old Cyclodrome, Matcham egged another boxer Starlight (or Star for short) to spar with Jack, Johnsons exhibition at old Opera House; Tivoli Johnson better than Clay; other fighters, Tommy Burns, Macintosh; Les Darcy a great middleweight; McGoorty (?); the great Sam Langford, fought Johnson once; Matcham's father had billiard rooms in the city; Walter Lindrum; Sam Langford & McVey fought at the Pavilion in Exhibition Street; the saying 'mug's a treat'; Starlight his wife and background, Starlight fought Fitzsimmons who introduced the solar plexus punch; the great Jack Dempsey had Indian Cherokee blood; Jack Johnson and Willard, the Italian Cerrerra who turned to wrestling; how Darcy started in boxing and when he fought at Sydney Stadium, Darcy's generosity to his mother; Snowy Baker representing Australia in the Olympics and how he died in Memphis; Peter Jackson; how Matcham met Johnny Famechon; Matcham's father came from America and knew Griffo (?), Lang, Tommy Burns. Rest of tape incomprehensible.
