Biography/History

Jeff Bate was the Liberal Party member for the New South Wales electorate of Macarthur from 1949 until defeated in 1972.

Title from inscription on photograph.

Condition: good.

Inscription: "Dwyer, Canberra" --embossed on lower right corner. "J. J. [i.e. H. J.] Bate" --in pencil and photographers stamp on reverse.

Part of the Dwyer collection of photographs of Canberra from the 1930s to the 1960s. Subjects include buildings, events and people.
