The collection consists of recordings relating to folk music, folklore, verse, traditional bush activities and bush dance music. The bulk of the recordings have been collected since 1985.

Biography/History

Alan Scott has been interested in folk music since his youth. He plays concertina, tin whistle, recorder and mouth organ, and sings. He has been recording traditional Australian folk music since the 1950s.

Some of the recordings from ORAL TRC 2277 have been edited and included in ORAL TRC 2783.
