Biography/History

John Barnes, a member of the A.L.P. was elected to the Senate from 1913 to 1920. He was re-elected in 1923 and remained there until defeated in 1935. He died in 1938 while senator elect.

Condition: good.

Inscriptions: "Vandyck" --printed lower right corner. "Senator Barnes, Barnes, John (senator)" --in pencil on reverse.
