1. Five scrapbooks of newscuttings, letters, photographs, speeches and memorabilia covering Marshall's career in South Africa and San Francisco. Correspondents include Ben Chifley, R.G. Menzies, Arthur Calwell, Roland Wilson, Phillip Law, Joseph Collings, Earle Page and Joe Cahill. (Four of the five scrapbooks are folio sized). 2. Three photograph albums relating to Marshall's time in Kuala Lumpur, 1940-42, and South Africa, 1946-51. 3. Irene Marshall's (Melville's wife) scrapbook of newscuttings re Malaya, 1945. 4. Drafts of Irene Marshall's memoirs, "Cinderella and the Diplomat", ca. 1971. 5. Correspondence regarding Marshall's career in taxation, 1927-41.
