- National Library of Australia's RB JAF 82 has manuscript note by Ferguson pasted inside front cover of vol. 1 which reads: "This was the work of a Venetian name Zaccaria Beuman, who issued it in four octavo volumes at Berne in 1764, Italian editions being also published at London and Venice. It purports to be the account of the voyage of a certain Englishman, Henry Wanton, to the unknown land of Australia, and to two other unknown countries called Scimie and Cinocefali".
