Tape contains oral letter recorded whilst Menzies was recovering from a stroke in hospital. Recording begins with a letter to Brother Scotts in which Menzies speaks of his current health, friendship and his wish to attend a Burns night function. This is followed by four oral letters between Menzies and Sir Owen Dixon in which they discuss their health and the future, reading material, friendship, old age and Owen Dixon remembers Menzies at the Bar.
