Summary

Letter from Russell to his father (dated 7 March 1890) recounting his attendance at the Australasian Federation Conference in Melbourne, as the representative of the government of New Zealand. Russell refers in the letter to Sir Henry Parkes and Alfred Deakin.

Biography/History

William Russell represented the New Zealand government at the Australasian Federation Conference in Melbourne, from 6-14 February, 1890. He was accompanied by Mr Hall.
