A reissue of the 1730 edition with the addition of: 'Britannia', 2nd. ed. corrected, 1730, and 'A paraphrase on the latter part of the sixth chapter of St. Matthew', both with separate pagination and register ('Britannia' having also a separate titlepage).

The ornaments are those used by Samuel Richardson.

'A paraphrase' was previously published in J. Ralph's 'Miscellaneous poems, by several hands', London, 1729.

The plates are by William Kent.
