Summary

Len speaks about his childhood in Brewarrina, N.S.W. where he was raised by his father and was constantly in fear of removal. He started work at the age of 15, becoming a fitter and turner before later getting involved in welfare work. He worked as an Aboriginal parole officer for 15 years. He outlines the psychological effect of removal on some of the prisoners he dealt with. Rose speaks about her childhood in the country, her mother who was removed at the age of 7 and raised in Cootamundra Girls Home, and her work as a welfare officer for the Department of Corrective Services in Broken Hill during the 1980s.
