Folkloric recording. Donald Trindall reads his poetry and talks about his life.
Trindall, born at Narrabri (N.S.W.) recalls his family background; his early years in Narrabri (N.S.W.); the beginnings of his interest in poetry (1980's); his poetry writing starting in 1988; starting his job as a drover at 17 years of age just before WWII; breaking in horses on the road as he drove the cattle; the life of a drover and the necessities for a good horse and dog; decline of droving with the affordability of big truck transportation; droving yarns; working for the Cooabarabran Shie Council after he finished with droving; his time with various travelling shows.
