This is a travel narrative with photos. The contents comprise: Introduction, Sydney, Newcastle, Queensland (Brisbane), Canberra, Cooma, Melbourne, Adelaide, Western Australia, Australian Higher Education, Overseas Students. The writer visited a lot of industrial centres. The high living standard of Australia is emphasized, so is its low unemployment rate. The social welfare system is depicted as very good, yet it entails high taxes. Australians are said to love outdoor activities and sport, which is attributed to the farming and husbandry of Australia's forefathers. As for the migration of Chinese to Australia, it is said to be more difficult to get into Australia: but once they are in, they are not discriminated against. The "White Australia Policy" is merely the product of economic pressure and has nothing to do with racism. On the contrary, Australians are very friendly, and it is easy to make friends.
