The papers in MS 8013 relate to the Federal Secretariat of the Australian Labor Party, in particular Cyril Wyndham, its Federal Secretary during the 1960s, and Lloyd's work as Press Secretary for Lance Barnard, 1987-1973. The collection includes speeches, correspondence, minutes of ALP Federal Executive meetings, election material, newscuttings, Federal Executive reports, speaker's notes, circulars, caucus resolutions, papers on defence, policy statements and papers regarding Lance Barnard's overseas trips.
The Acc04/5 instalment comprises subject files including on housing and urban and regional development, Cabinet and Parliamentary papers, conference papers, correspondence, speeches, press releases, press cuttings and other papers.
The Acc05/214 instalment includes correspondence and subject files on repatriation, water, electoral and political matters, including the Hawke government's electoral reform, housing and infrastructure.
- Biography/History:

During the 1960s Clem Lloyd was a member of the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery. From 1967-1973 he was Press Secretary for Lance Barnard, the Deputy Leader of the Opposition. In 1974 he became Press Secretary for Tom Uren. Lloyd wrote a number of books and achieved a doctoral degree in Political Science.
