Includes papers relating to Wright's career in insurance with the Batavia Sea and Fire Insurance Company, Royal Exchange Assurance and Australian and Eastern Insurance Company; as Dutch Consul in Melbourne; and service at Gallipoli during World War I. Other topics include the Australian Comforts Fund, Sir John Monash, Sir Robert Menzies, correspondence with Staniforth Ricketson, Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration and the International Chamber of Commerce.

Biography/History

Colonel F.H. Wright was General Manager of the Batavia Sea and Fire Insurance Company from 1918 to 1953. Dutch Consul in Melbourne from 1924-1954. Wounded at Gallipoli, 1915. Long term member of the Australian Army reserve, in which he was promoted to Colonel in 1943. Director of the Australian Comforts fund during World War II.
