- Biography/History:

William Archibald Shuldham Dunlop was born in Holywood, County Down, Northen Ireland in 1892 and arrived in Australia with his parents as a young child. He was among the first intake in 1911 at the newly opened Royal Military College, Duntroon. He embarked on the HMAT Wiltshire on 19th October 1914 with the 4th Australian Light Horse Regiment, for Egypt, Gallipoli and then France.
