Winters, a painter, talks about his family background, early drawing experiences, studentship with the Education Dept., early exhibitions and his experiences in Europe and Greece. In 1975 he won Best Australian Drawing and Perth Prize. He also discusses his political involvement with the ALP and his decision to continue painting. Winters travelled between Greece and Australia with his work, returning to stay in 1984.
