Poems written by Australian and British prisoners in the Changi prisoner-of-war camp, 1942-45. A selection of the poems formed the basis of "Changi days: the prisoner as poet" (1992), a copy of which is also included in the collection. This script, selected and presented by Sir David Griffin, was first performed in Singapore on 13 February 1992, to mark the 50th anniversary of the fall of Singapore.

The poets were all members of the Changi Literary Group, 1942-45, formed out of the A.I.F. Education Centre, originally established at Selarang P.O.W. camp by Brig. H.B. Taylor. Sir David Griffin arranged the first performance of a selection of these poems at the Selarang Barracks, Singapore, in 1992. They have since been presented in Singapore, Australia and London.
