Folkloric recording: Eric Godley and Ian Reeve discuss their life, family, other folk musicians, the music and songs of Kingstown and Uralla from the New England Region, N.S.W.; Godley speaks about learning to play the accordion; players of the past, his father, the Cherry family, Ray Doran, Ray Faulkner, Alice Doran, Dot Tibbs, the Pawhandles, Aboriginal musicians; discusses various bush instruments; bush-leaf players; Cyril Dagg; tuning violins; his relation to the Cherries; making a violin out of a gallon tin and a broom stick; playing solo for dances; musical practices of former days; playing the violin and the jew's harp; explains the steps of Mazurka; the role of an MC at a dance; Varsoviana waltz dance; talks about the Panhandlers; sending back a double row accordion; and discusses Ray Doran's accordion.
