Dr. Jane Prince, academic, talks about her parents; early schooling in Germany and England; migrating to Australia in 1957; schooling in Australia; early interest in mathematics followed later by a greater interest in biology; tertiary studies at University of Western Australia and the topics studied for MSc and PhD. She talks about the difficulties in combining family committments with doing research. Prince gives her views on women in science and the current competitive nature of science and her involvement in programs to improve the current situation.
