Oral histories from contributors, all of whom are descendants of early Moongalba residents; relates important segments of North Stradbroke Island's Aboriginal history; describes Moongalba (Myora) Mission; provides information about the way in which residents looked after the Moongalba Cemetery, also has a mud map and register of people buried there; includes a list of rations issued to Aboriginal people at the mission in 1938; reflects upon many customs of those who lived at Moongalba, such as visits to Bummiera (Brown Lake), the flower sellers, collecting dungles (Banksia seed cores) and catching dugong; has a little about Aboriginal men from Moongalba who fought in World Wars One and Two.
