Summary

Lindley, a teacher's aide and Indigenous separated child was taken from his family at Mogumber Methodist Mission, W.A. in 1940 and placed at Sister Kate's Children's Home. He speaks about the living conditions at Sister Kate's and recalls his memories of Sister Kate Clutterbuck and Mrs Lefroy. He contrasts his treatment at Sister Kate's with that which he received at Greenbushes and Kenwick where he was sent later. Lindley also talks of reuniting with some of his family, and expresses his opinions on the policy of assimilation and the process of Reconciliation.
