- 211-215 pages ; 22 cm.
- Summary:
-
Suggests that similar types of rafts and canoes were distributed over most of Australia, examples - Port Essington, Gascoyne River to Port Darwin, Murray River, Gippsland, Botany Bay, Clarence and Nymboida Rivers; only rafts in Tasmania; dug-outs in Gulf of Carpentaria, Cape York, Port Darwin; possibly Malay influence; statements by Dr. G. Bennett that dugouts occur in Rylstone district, N.S.W., and G.F. Angas that they occur along Murray, are wrong.
