Willoughby talks about joining CASM (Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music) in early teens; playing piano; experiences on Adelaide streets, arrested and placed in institution and learning to play guitar. He then talks in more detail about CASM and the Pitjitjanjara elders teaching there; Bob Marley and reggae; use of didgeridu; playing with Banna of Coloured Stone and Bart's first band and its first tour from Adelaide to Sydney and one of its first songs "Get a grip on yourself". Willougby then describes the personnel in No Fixed Address; film "Wrong side of the road" which featured No Fixed Address; performance venues; touring; making the film and working with the other band, Us Mob and meeting actors such as Chris Haywood and his friendship with Louis MacManus. He then talks about Joe Geia joining the band; break-up of No Fixed Address and joining Coloured Stone and the re-formation of band and its changed character. Willoughby then describes a tour to Europe in 1987 with No Fixed Address.
He then discusses the importance of the didgeridu, its use by other bands and the power of the various sounds it produces. Willoughby then describes a trip to America with Yothu Yindi; touring with Midnight Oil and provides an overview of his career. He then talks about the film/musical performance, Jindalee Lady; performers Christine Anu, Archie Roach, Ruby Hunter, Tiddas, Frank and Isaac Yama and Bobby Randal. Willoughby then discusses CASM and young musicians today. He then provides information on his family background; growing up in an institution; gang activities; decision to become a musician; attending CASM and different musical experiences and his plans for the future .
