Russell Moy, a Chinese Australian, speaks of his father, Leong Moy, as a first generation Chinese migrant to Australia, how his father managed Hoong Chong Fruit Merchants, a Leong clan business, his own childhood growing up in Little Bourke St. in Melbourne's Chinatown, his recollection of the names, locations and owners of Chinese businesses along Little Bourke Street for the period 1910-1940, trading relations between different businesses, names and descriptions of major clan groupings in the Melbourne Chinese community, relations within and between clans, the importance of clans to business relationships, religious beliefs and practices within the community covering Confucian/traditional and Christian, gender relations and religious affliliations, development and history of Young Chinese League including sporting and social activities.
