1. Correspondence exchanged between Marston and W.S. Robinson and his wife Gertrude Robinson (1950-63). 2. Papers of Professor Archibald Watson, Elder Professor of Anatomy, University of Adelaide (1885-1919). They were bequeathed to Marston and consist of letters received by Watson from his family, patients and colleagues (1879-1939); diaries (1874-1939); notebooks dealing with Watson's research on marine specimens especially relating to Thursday Island; and legal and business papers.

Hedley Marston was born in South Australia, and educated at the University of Adelaide and Cambridge. He was foundation fellow and first treasurer of the Australian Academy of Science and was Chief of the Division of Biochemistry and General Nutrition, CSIRO.
