Mr Newchurch talks of his early life at Koonibba mission ; describes the working conditions on the mission in the 1950s; describes the changes in conditions after 1963 when the government took control; describes the kinds of work available and briefly describes how it was done; talks of the changes in education; the entertainment available at the time; the problems that came with the availability of alcohol; his experiences of the differences between Whyalla and Koonibba.
