Letters of the Jeffcott and Kermode families written chiefly to John Moore Jeffcott, Advocate, High Bailiff of Castle-town, Isle of Man, by his cousins Sir John William Jeffcott and Sir William Jeffcott, by his relative William Kermode and by Robert Quale Kermode. The letters refer to Kermode's property "Mona Vale" and conditions in South Australia; the career of Sir William and Sir John Jeffcott; Sir John Jeffcott's papers; news of friends and others, such as Sir William Denison; William Kermode's son Robert; Robert Quayle Kermode's efforts in the State Legislature to end transportation; and the potato blight in Northern Tasmania. Also includes obituary notices of the death of Robert Quayle Kermode and notes on Kermode family.
