Frank Brennan was the ALP member for Batman in the House of Representatives, 1911-1931, 1934-1939; Attorney General in the Scullin Government, 1929-31, and was the subject of Ryan's Masters thesis, later published as: Frank Brennan - a political biography.
Niall Brennan, born in 1918, son of Frank Brennan, Attorney-General in the Scullin Government, 1929-1931, and has had a long involvement in Catholic left wing affairs, both as an activist and writer.
