Sharp recalls his childhood and mother's encouragement of his artistic pursuits; family visits to his grandfather's house at Port Hacking; his attendance at East Sydney Technical for art studies; meeting Garry Shead and the beginnings of his interest in drawing cartoons; starting the "Oz" magazine, becoming well known after the magazine was prosecuted for obscenity; Mary White's art school; The Rocks art school; his first exhibition at the Clune Galleries; Colin Lanceley; his cartoons for The Australian and The Herald; his trip to London in 1965 with Richard Neville; Eric Clapton; his love of pop music, how he always paints with music playing; Vincent van Gogh and his own interpretation of Van Gogh's work; drawing posters; his method of painting; his exploration of the collage technique; his thoughts for the future.
