Folkloric recording.

Maisie Wright, who has been in a wheelchair since an early age discusses her life and her musical career as an old time dance band pianist. Maisie was born at Wyrallah, N.S.W. She recalls her childhood; her family background; the Depression years; bush remedies and medications; family entertainment (games, singing, dancing, playing musical instruments) of early 20th century; learning to play the piano and playing for local dances in country halls; the history of her disability. She gives some background information on the songs My dad's an engineer and Lighting time in the valley.
