Folkloric recording: Alice Doran recalls how she became a musician and her view that ear music is the sweetest music; her brother Stan played at Bundarra; playing the accordion and how she used to sing at dances; the process of making parodies on dance tunes; bush songs; she reminisces about the song The old bark hut; Victor Cherry, the big gun musician of the old days around Kingston; her father used to dance the cake walk (step dance); Ray Doran played Irish washerwoman on accordion; Victor played the Devil among the Tailors very quick & very exact; Victor played Connaughtman's rumbles (fiddle) for square dances; she wasn't in favour of tune parodies; she talks about parodies on songs such as: It ain't gonna rain no more, The night was dark and stormy, The billy goat was blind; the old woolshed dances; Ray Doran's playing.
