Marjorie Morton (first wife of Tex), Bob Morton (son) and Tex Croft (long time friend) recall their lives and relationships with New Zealand country singer Tex Morton. Majorie recalls meeting Tex in 1936 in Sydney, N.S.W. She talks about his early recording career, giving a description of the touring tent shows & radio programs; performers and people connected with the entertainment industry in Australia & New Zealand from the 1930s-1940s. Bob (son) recalls his memories of Tex's Dude Ranch. Tex Croft recalls his early memories of Tex Morton; Morton's show in Sydney, Grand Ole Opry. Hedley Charles provides general comments on Tex Morton's musical career.

Robert Morton, country singer & writer born Robert Lane but better known in Australia as Tex Morton was born in New Zealand in 1916, came to Australia in 1932. He had been a buck-jump rider, trick rifle and pistol shot, country and western singer, hypnotist, illusionist, reader of Australian literature and poems. He also worker as an actor, roles ranging from radio & TV commericals and dramas to feature films. In 1976 he became the first entertainer to be elevated to the Australasian Country Music Roll of Renown, inducted to Hands of Fame in 1977.
