In chapter 2 the author describes the two divisions of the Ya-itma-thang people of the Omeo regions - the Theddora (including the Theddora-mittung and the Mogullum-bitch) and the Kandangora-mittung with a references to a Warrajabaree people (Wiradjuri?). Decimation of the Aboriginal people by disease and murder. Mention of Nukong of the Ya-itma-thang people, after whom Mt Nugong was named. Relationship of the Ya-itma-thang with the Kurnai to the south, origin of the name Brajerack and myths.
