A series of reading primers for use in mission and government schools. The first of these readers was originally produced while the author was a missionary teacher at the Aurukun Presbyterian mission on western Cape York Peninsula, where her husband, William Frederick MacKenzie was superintendent, by the Department of Native Affairs, a sub-department of the Queensland state Department of Education. This series of six readers was published by the Presbyterian church in 1951 and 1952 by F.W. Chesire and The Hawthorn Press.
