Summary

5 volumes of scrap albums containing cuttings from The Sun of Peterson's cartoons, dated and arranged chronologically. They principally relate to World War II, concentrating on an international perspective rather than domestic politics.

Biography/History

Archibald Stuart Peterson was the political cartonist for the Sydney Sun in the 1930s and 1950s. He illustrated the two-volume 1830 work, Legends of the Maori by J. Cowan.
