This volume contains a letter on behalf of the Queen, preface, index, opinions of the Press (6 pages), lists of subscribers (20 pages) before the main text. An errata slip is included after page172.

National Library of Australia's FRM F3606 (Petherick) copy inscribed in ink inside the front cover, "Henry Harris Cresswell, a birthday present from his brother Nathanial. Feb 15th 1844".

National Library of Australia's FRM F3606 (N) copy is stamped Commonwealth National Library; also inscribed in in, J.H. Newman; lacks errata.
