Summary

Rudolph Newman, born c.1899, Springvale Station, East Kimberley, W.A. Newman speaks about his mother who worked on a Springvale Station, W.A. and his white father. Around 1910 or 1911, his father took him and three other boys to Beagle Bay Catholic Mission and he never saw his mother again. He describes the journey to Beagle Bay and his schooling on the Mission. Newman also talks about his working life and his memories of World War II and the Japanese attack on Broome.
