Two photocopies of handwritten travel diaries of journey made by Dr Turner to Peru in 1973 and to Tahiti, Easter Island, Chile, Argentina, Uraguay, Rio de Janerio, Rome Lebanon, Syria, Ankara in 1970. Also typescript report of trip to China in 1965 and photocopied diary of journey to the Argentine in 1968. Diaries describe Dr Turner's working experiences in these countries. Papers also include copies of lectures given in Westernh Australia, a copy of Dr Turner's thesis submitted for the degree of Doctor of Science in 1969, and a curriculum vitae to 1972

Former architect, secretary and statistician, Dr Helen Turner is now one of the world's leading authorities on sheep genetics. She has worked with the C.S.I.R.O. for forty years and, from 1956 to 1973, as a Senior Principal Research Scientist in the Division of Animal Genetics, she led the C.S.I.R.O.'s sheep genetics research team
