Selections from the papers of Rev. John Barlow, 1840-1869, secretary of the Royal Institution. Selections from the papers of the following resident professors of the Royal Institution: Sir Humphry Davy, 1837; Michael Faraday, 1838-70; Sir William Grove, 1867; John Tyndall, 1851-92; Sir William Bragg, 1882-1969 and Sir Lawrence Bragg, 1883-1970. The bulk of the papers are of Sir William and Sir Lawrence Bragg and relate to visits to Australia and New Zealand; papers kept by William Bragg while Professor of Mathematics and Physics at Adelaide University, 1886-1909 (particularly relating to his experiments on radioactivity and electromagnetism); speeches and lectures; correspondence on honours and appointments, etc.
