Negatives from the George Washington Wilson collection relating to Australia. The scenes depicted cover every facet of Australia life at the turn of the century, including urban life in the major cities, Aboriginal studies, beach scenes, goldmining and bush scenery. The photographs were taken by staff photographers for G.W. Wilson & Co.

Photographer. Established commercial photographic business in the 1850s, specialising in topographical views. Staff photographers travelled widely including Australia.
